Àfrica! Quin gran continent!

ENGLISH CAMP IN SANTA PAU

We have come back from our English Camp in Santa Pau (La Garrotxa). What a great experience!
On Wednesday we visited the volcanoes museum in Olot. We saw samples of many things learnt in class. We could also live the feeling of being on an earthquake and it seemed quite real. Then we went to La Fageda d'en Jordà and walked through impressive and beautiful beeches. We found out that we were actually walking on giant bubbles of gas!
After lunch we arrived to our house and went to our rooms.
At night we played a really fun Night Game in Santa Pau. It wasn't scary at all but some of us were a little bit scared this year... Do you remember the stories that we made? Some ended with a “tan tan taaaaan!”

Thursday was the big trip day. We walked to Rocanegra volcano, Santa Margarida volcano and Croscat volcano. It felt good to be inside the cone of a volcano! After 12 km, we were really tired, but we kept on playing football or basketball back in the house. After having a shower we had OUR moment of freedom!! We could walk around the village without our teachers for almost 1 hour! The perfect moment to have fun and buy some “secallones”. Then dinner time and finally the big competition! We will never forget the most romantic Romea and Juliettos, or the yogurt test... What a fun night. That second night we were so tired that most of us fell asleep very easily. Only most of us...

Of course, we remember our two workshops: orientation and sundials, where we learnt and enjoyed at the same time.

We want to thank our monitors and teachers Marina, Marc and Carlota, who helped us discover many interesting things about volcanoes and who always talked in English.

A 3-day adventure that we will never forget. Goodbye La Garrotxa!
